The Bean
East Village, Williamsburg
The Bean is a coffee chain that is all over the East Village with one outpost in Williamsburg. There are other "cooler" coffee shops but they probably close at 7PM. Most Beans party till midnight, every night. Come here if you want to have any non-alcoholic drink you can imagine at basically any time of the day (most locations are open until midnight). You will score zero cool points going here, but you will have a nice spot to sit down and let your winning personality shine through :)

All manner of coffee drinks, hot chocolate, smoothies, juices. Probably the widest variety of drink options you'll find at a coffee shop.
Eat
Pastries, Acai bowls, a few egg sandwiches.
Sit
All of their locations have pretty decent table seating options and it is definitely not a pin-drop quiet coffee shop so get chatty.
