The Roost
East Village
The Roost looks like any other small coffee shop from the street but keep walking and you'll find a large back bar with lots of seating. Since it's on Avenue A it never gets too crowded, but it's on 14th street so it's still relatively easy to get to. The best spot is the small lounge with comfy couches between the coffee space and the main bar.
Drink
Basically anything you could want, it's a coffee shop in front, bar in back. Coffee, solid beer, wine and cocktail lists.
Eat
Thin crust pizza.
Sit
Coffee shop in front with a communal table. But you'll want to head back where there are two spaces. One is a lounge with a few couches and coffee tables, the other is a fairly large bar with bar seating and a handful of high top tables.
